03OctSpring Bloom – Johannesburg Photographer – DSD Photography
Well Spring is here and Summer is hot on its heels, with the first rains announcing the wet season for Johannesburg. One of my many personal projectsis taking photos of flowers and blooms, I generally try stick to the everyday, the flowers we have in our gardens. While I can photograph the exotic and less common flowers, I find a certain satisfaction in photographing the everyday and find something interesting in it. I do find this both satisfying and helpful, its a great medium to hone or enhance my professional styles and methods.
I tried figuring out the day just why I enjoy photographing these flowers, and honestly I cannot give a solid answer so I suppose “I just do” is what I am sticking with.

About the Author
Born in Pretoria and grew up in Johannesburg, and that wraps up that part about me.
I have over the years been fortunate enough to have traveled around South Africa, from Johannesburg to Cape Town to Durban, I have seen the Kimberly Great Hole and Wild Life in the Kruger National Park. St Lucia Wetlands to the Karoo.
With so many places seen its no surprise I follow the shadow of photography so avidly.
I have always enjoyed photography, ever since I had my first camera. I have always worked towards a great photo, and as time moved on so has my skilled and inch by inch I have gotten better. Years later I realised that this is where I want to be, a photographer and so each day I work towards being the best I can be.
